I've had epilepsy since I was twelve years old and started having issues with insomnia when I started puberty (about the same time). Could they be related? I've had major success with medication (carbemazapine (sp?), but occasionally I will have a seizure and not have missed any doses. After the last one, something clicked. My insomnia had flared up. Then someone pointed out to me that I usually have seizures late in the night, or the day after not getting any sleep. Could this be causing my seizures???

yes. very much related. my husband also has seizures and has 'spells' like he's gonna have one if he's tired. the doctor put my husband on diazapam (valum) to help him sleep. talk to your doctor about this.
good luck and stay safe.
