Why complain. I lived in the ghetto in california, usa. I'm surrounded by stuck up racist white rich people and i live in a small corner of my town where they throw all the immigrants. it is hard having to deal with prostitues and drug dealears and drive by shootings.
Everytime I walk out the door, I take a chance at life of death. So quit complaining!

I think the ideas about an exchange are good. There are lots of other countries you can go to. But that's always going to depend on your parents financial situation.
And another country is a long way away. I don't know what your problems are, but if one of them is your parents, I know another country might seem like a great idea, but you'll have a definite period of culture shock that might seem even more stressful if you've gone there for the wrong reasons (ie: getting away from something).
Do you have relatives in another part of the country? My Grandparents live in Melbourne, and I live in Queensland (Australia). I know if I needed a break I could go down there.
Relatives are often willing to take in young people if it will help the family in general. Take a look at your relatives and maybe find one you get along with. Talk to them about it and maybe ask if you could stay with them.
Remember that you're under-age for...everything. You will need your parents support and approval for anything you do until you're at least 16 (or 18 or 21 depending on restrictions in England, I'm not sure what they are). Even if you're having problems, you need to sit down with them and be open and honest and rational. Yelling, screaming and crying won't make them think that you have thought this all through very well and that you're acting on emotions.
So think it through.
You could also look at moving schools, finding a new group of friends and changing the things in yourself that might have contributed to any bad memories. Or go to the police and deal with things if they're illegal bad memories like those that involve older men doing bad things.

Foreign exchange programs are good, I'm from the US my sister went to italy for 5 monthes last year, her italian teacher knew some people. Talk to your friends and adult friends, most likely someone know someone outside the country that you could spend a few monthes studying there, it takes hard work to set it all up but its defintly worth while. If you have relatives in a different city talk to your parents about moving in with your relatives for a while to let your past settle a bit. Otherwise, summer camps and exchange programs are a great way. I'm not sure what your financial situation is but there are many many opportunities out there, don't give up hope and study hard.

I hate where I live aswell I came from a different country to live here about a year ago and I made a group of friends they were really really nice to me and it was all good. Then my grandmother who I was staying with got sick and I had to leave back to my old country. I kept in contact with my closest friend and we txt each other almost everyday. So I got depressed about missing everyone and I basically begged my parents to bring me back to live with my grandmother. So we all moved over but my parents hated it and my friends were not nice at all anymore. Except my good friend. Then he made up with one of his old friends and I was totally left out and now I am left here in this place lonely as hell. But I'm leaving soon anyway so **** them. That friend talks to me at lunch every now an then but only for a few minutes I hate it here so much!

I stay in Pretoria, South Africa. I won't say I hate the placement, however the only reason I stay it incredibly is as a results of the fact i could not discover a role interior the northeastern factors of SA (close to/ interior the Kruger Park). i like the bush and hate the city. i discover cities overcrowded, polluted in each factor and excessive in crime.

Only you know when it is time and how to move on....I live in a city that is great schooling for my sons...but I am not happy here...3.5 years...both graduate....I get to finally move on...I make my stay here with my sons warm and loving...but know my time will come to be where I want...my boys are more important right now...they need their school and friends to stay stable...this is where they are happy...but when they move on to college and new life adventures...they will not mind where Mom lives...as long as they can come "Home" at any time (to raid my refrigerator)...smiles and good luck....

I moved to this apartment complex in the middle of July, and already I'm sick of it. If I can help it, I'll be getting out of here long before the lease expires.
