Well, the best... Here are some sites, some cost money, some are free. You can call a gallery or auction and get a price. There are some sites below for that too. For me the Artprice is good enough.

When trying to find the value of something, it helps to know the medium, size, what it's painted on, is it original, who is the artist, when was it painted, etc.

If it is a contemporary artist, try www.absolutearts.com
