Quiet. If absolutely you can question a quiet one to get the words flowing. But when has it ever been easy to get a noisy one to clamp it for a while. My neighbors, family, and phone are just a constant roar or spattering of annoyance. I could really use some quiet.

I think one who is neither one nor the other. In other words, they talk, then let you talk. And they know when to shut up. But it gets uncomfortable when they never say anything. So you want someone who can talk, but not too much.

If I may add this, you also want someone who doesn't bug the crap out of you (calling all the time, always wanting to hang out, wanting to know exactly what you're doing, etc.). You want someone who will give you your space.

Talkative. If it were a quiet friend, I'd probably be bored. With a talkative friend, I won't be bored.

talkative. quiet is boring and doing all the talking is too much. with a talkative person, you can just limit your contact or tell them to shut up when it becomes overwhelming
