Behold the wonders of back pain. I have taken Flexeril many times. Works wonders for a while until your body becomes "immune" to it. At least thats what happened to me. In any case, Flexeril makes you drowsy and unable to properly function at many times. Ativan, that is used for anxiety, seizures, etc, does the same thing. It is NOT recommended that these two medications be taken together. Talk to your doctor about getting another medication that will not be so high risk to take. However, do feel free to try something over the counter like ibuprofen which also has an anti-inflammatory in it that may help the pain. Good luck.

Ativan is an anti-anxiety med so I am not sure why you are taking that for back pain. If the doc prescribed percocet then use that for the pain if it is severe and over the counter pain meds if the pain is not severe. The flexoril is a muscle relaxer designed to relax the muscles to help with pain control. Consider using a pain med and flexoril instead of the ativan unless you are having anxiety problems too.

I agree with the above answers. If your doctor has prescribed for you to take all three, do as your doctory says. Keep in mind, all of these medications have the side effect of causing sleepiness. Be careful with driving or operating machinery when taking any or all of these.
