I have a friend I met online. We talk online everyday and we write to eachother too. He is so much fun, handsome and we get along just great, according to him. Well Ive had a major crush on him since the day I saw him, honest to goodness, cliche I know. He seemed really happy that I told him and he said he really liked me too. One day we were talking and all of a sudden, he said he loved me, which I just shrugged off and told him not to say something he didnt really mean. Problem is that I have realized that I love him too. But he lives so far away. I live in Nebraska and he lives in Gerogia. And also, ever since I told him not to say that to me he seems kinda different. I know it was mean and maybe stupid of me, but understand that at the time I wasnt sure. But now that I know I do love him, Im scared of what might happen next. Maybe hes forgotten about me? Maybe he doesnt care for me anymore?? Either way I need to let him know, please any advice on the whole thing? Thank you so much♥

By the way we are both 20. And I have already planned to meet him during the summer.

What a coincidence...I live in Nebraska as well.

Long Distance relationships are very very difficult. The only key to it's success is constant communication and trust. Here's a little something to try. Pick a movie to watch that is on TV. Both of you watch it at the same time. Also pick a dinner to cook and both of you cook the same dinner. It'll be like going out for dinner and a movie. Little things like that help.

Oh yeah and also try mailing packages to each other. Sometimes getting an actual physical item that the other held helps bridge the distance. Maybe send him an article of clothing with your perfume on it.

Good Luck!

Long distance online relationships can, and do, work out....occasionally. When you said not to say something he didn't really mean, he probably took that for "I don't love you back." Ask him how he feels. That's really all you can do at this point. Until you know how he feels and the both of you talk it out you really can't get any further. Good luck!

I KNOW THAT THEY DO WORK! I'M IN ONE RIGHT NOW AND COULDN'T HAVE ASKED FOR ANYONE BETTER. TO ME LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIPS ARE MORE EXCITING THAN IF U WERE WITH SOMEONE LIVING CLOSE TO YOU. IN THAT RELATIONSHIP THING BEGIN TO GET BORING AT TIMES. IN MY OPINION, I WOULD SAY IT DEPENDS ON THE DISTANCE AND THE COUPLE. HOW ME AND MY BOO GOT INTO OUR SITUATION IS SIMILAR TO YOURS EXCEPT WE LIVE IN THE SAME STATE ABOUT HALF AN HOUR AWAY. I'M 16 AND HE'S 17 TRYING TO GET HIS LICENSE WHICH IS WHY IT'S A LITTLE HARD TO SEE EACH OTHER.

No, long distance almost never, MOSTLY never work out. Unless you're old enough (which it doesn't seem like it) to go find him... don't start a relationship. Hold it off until you can commute or something.

Long distant relationships barely ever work out unless you are old enough to travel meet up and see if you really are compatiable with each other.
