Not a good thing. Eventually, this action will cause him to put on weight since he is not letting his mind connect with enough to let it know that he is eating and digesting the food. I don't know how old he is, but, if he is young, have him take a scoop of food, have him put down the fork, have him put his hands on his lap and have him chew his food. That will slow his eating.

What is the problem? Eating to fast is not a problem so what happens when he eats to fast. You need to post more details.

haha, my brother eats extremely fast. eating fast makes it harder to digest and causes some other problems. its better to eat slowly so try telling him to chew each bite 25 times. see if that works. good luck =)

My bro has the same problem. We just have to tell him to slow down all the time. Maybe give him really small helpings when he eats.... and when he finishes each little helping, wait a couple min. then give him some more.

okay well if ur worried about choking, well then u need to try this...next time u seve steak cut everyones meat into small peices
then say "okay u can only eat one peice at a time, and firsts person done does the dishes"
he'll slow down

oh well, this is probably natural.
folks ate fast when i was a kid and rush to ball
games outdoors.
tell your child to chew food to fine grain if he does
eat fast.
