yeah, if it is young go to obedience class with it. The dog may not sit stay or roll over, but will learn not to jump up at least.

to keep them from jumping onto you, every time they do it put your knee up
it won't hurt them, but it will keep them from jumping

to keep them from getting onto the counter, put something that agitates them, such as cayenne pepper, on it. or every time you see them, spray them with a water bottle

i had the same problem with my dog, you just have to work on it, good luck!

Tell your dog "NO" and place his/her front feet on the ground and praise him/her - they dont know they are doing a behavior that you feel is inapropriate unless you train them to not do it.
