welcome to the club... I know what you mean.. I am feeling it too... "who is that stranger in the mirror" kind of thing and noticiing that the young ones ... well.. are young..
should you go... well... it's nice to get out once in awhile... never know what you may trip over etc...
remember there is a gen. gap and somethings are changing etc.. it's nice just to get out..
you sound like a fiestie thing... wouldn't that be nice...

I am going to be 49 in May, so I can totally relate. I can barely drink a cocktail anymore without getting a hangover! I say go for it, but be prepared to take a cab home, we're just too old to keep up with the youngsters. Dress up, flirt alot, buy some strange good-looking guy a drink, live a little. You deserve to let loose occasionally, now's a good opportunity. You never know, you might just meet the man you've always wanted, LOL..Happy Birthday!!! Let us know how it went.

Happy Birthday Darlin'
Definitely go, have a great time!
Just don't go expecting a hook up because you probably don't want to meet a guy at a club anyways.
use it as a tool for you to start mingling into the social scene if that's what you want, but as for meeting a potential date...join an activity you love...tennis, boating, gardening etc. there you'll have a better chance of meeting a serious contender not a fling.
HAVE FUN!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! It is a blessing to turn a year old although most people do not see it that way. I to will be celebrating my birthday later this month. There is nothing wrong with going out letting your hair down, you deserve it. Just relax and dont let the age thing bother you. Most men dont care about a womans age anyway. I hope that you go. HAVE FUN.

At 49 your body still can take some physical abuse. In my view we should be physically put to the test more often as we age instead of the opposite. Birthdays are just a yearly measurement, the real test is your physical endurance.

Usually whats out there won't be worth worryig about, at least at the clubs. Married guys pretending to be single, single guys that are players, and single guys that have nothing to offer. I would recommend other places to find a love interest.
But if you want to go out with the girls to have a drink or two...no problem. Just don't expect MR Right to be there. perhaps MR Right Now will be though.

I bet you don't feel like a 49 though - have a good one and only if you start looking at that number, you'll be defined by a number - in my books you are a 10

Age doesn't matter anymore. You should act the age you feel. Go out. People wont not like you because you are 49.
Definitely see what is out there. It will be fun too. !
