other than taking sleeping pills ... maybe trying to get into a routine that prepares you mentally for sleep.

other ways of getting sleep is not taking any kind of stimulants (ie caffine in coffee) that will make you restless, drinking warm milk helps some people whilst scented oils (partic lavender and jasmine) can help the body to relax (aided by a warm bath). it is also suggested that pomergramets aid sleeping - although ive yet to find anyone who can confirm this?!

other than this, wear yourself out during the day, go to the gym and have a good workout, go for a walk before bed or find another activity that gets the heart working and reduces energy levels - im sure you can think of something ...

have you got a new bed / too old bed that maybe causing the problem or incomfotable sheets????

there a ton of stuff on the internet ... just have a look and try to match up your ''symtoms''

GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY SLEEPING > fingers crossed :)

I've been trying to get more sleep lately due to possible links of insomnia to a health problem that I have. The best thing I've found is actually something a kid taught me. He said when he wants to go to sleep he pretends like there's a monster in the room (crazy right?) and that he has to be as still as possible so he looks like he's asleep. Now I really couldn't seriously consider a imagining a monster in my room, but I do play a little game with myself where I try to see how long I can act like I'm asleep. That means ignore all itches and all urges to shift. Just see how still and convincingly asleep you can make yourself. I break down and scratch my nose or my nuts or something the first time but usually by the second or thrid time I just end up drifiting off to sleep. It's been working very well for me.

Sounds stupid but i found that making the bedroom back into the room where i go to sleep really helped. By this i mean not watching telly before going to bed or talking in bed . When i go to bed its to sleep (unless.. you know...). I also used a relaxation music CD the type you would hear in a health spa and played it quietly in the background. Making sure that your room is clutter free and tidy helps as well as crisp, clean bedding. It all helps to build a calm and relaxing atmosphere to unwind and drift off to sleep. Hope this helps in some way.

in accordance to my surgeon, you shouldnt provide your infant formula or breastmilk at nite. He informed me you are able to desire to purely provide them a bottle with water in it so as that once a pair nites your infant wont be waking up awaiting to eat. He says toddlers get right into a ordinary of feeding and in case you wean them faraway from the lifeless night feedings then they're going to sleep all the way in the process the nite. I havent completed this myself yet from what I comprehend its meant to paintings. My son sleeps approximately 7 hrs at once maximum nites. of course you cant anticipate each and every nite to be an all niter. Even adults each and every so often wake in the nite for somewhat some motives. My son additionally began snoozing by using at a million and a 0.5 mths. yet while he have been given his photos at 3 or 4 mths he wouldnt sleep better than an hour at a time. i got here across that turning on a radio actual low for some white noise looked as though it might help besides.

Well, if sleep is really what you are looking for...you need to set a set schedule. Always get up at the same time...no matter what. and set a time for bed. Then start getting ready for bed at least an hour before so that our body has time to relax. Taking Melatonin or Valerian Root is helpful

try having aworm bath before bed time and usually drinking a warm glass of milk will help. also visit www.avon.co.uk and request a catalogue as you can but sleeping stuff- its like a pack of like em.. lavender pillow mist (spry onto pillow and helps you to sleep) etc.Why not plan a rota what time you'll go up to bed and do what i do(watch telly and leave it on till you nod off). Maybe going for a walk together in the evening might ware you out or if you are loosing weight go for a short run in evenings. Foods with carbs in them helps to to feel tired.if that doesnt work go to your doc and he might prescribe medication but try other options first as its not nice taking medication even if you have kids as it'll effect you throughout day as it has bad side effects

Don't eat anything too late at night, have a bath and read a book - that always helps me fall asleep. Radox have a pillow spray for sale that apparently helps you fall asleep - haven't tried it yet though.
