I hear from a few sources and rumors that Mac OS X 10.5 "Leopard", the new version of OS X to ship this spring will have native support for Win32 applications. I highly doubt it though. If the Mac is intel-based (uses an Intel processor), then just go out and get a copy of Windows XP with SP2 or Windows Vista (after January 30th, that is...) and use Apple's program called BootCamp. It is a betaware program that will allow you to natively install Windows on an intel-based Macintosh. Good luck.

I dont think anyone really knows right now. As you might know, Vista requires a very much so up to date computer, and might not work with many even a few months older PCs. Personaly, I think that Vista's a load of crap, if you excuse my words. Vista resembles Mac OS X Tiger, and I seriously doubt you would get much use out of it. Stick with Windows XP on the iMac, something that is known to work....
but just be very careful switching from Mac to PC!!! Sometimes it comes a shock how many viruses you can get on a PC, coming from a next to invincible Mac.

Why would you buy a Mac if you want to be able to use a Windows OS. You mentioned that you were done with them.

Anyway, more than likely, an updated Parallels or Bootcamp will support Vista in the future.

Native support for Win32 applications... come on, let's be realistic here.
