Well, explain to her why you were late, and what you were doing that caused you to be late, and make sure you think your excuse through because you just say whatever then she'll know that your lying. The next time that this were to happen, always call and check in with her, I know this is probably lame, but trust me it got me where I wanted to be and i wanted to be trusted by my parents. If your mom hasnt met some of your friends then it's a good idea to introduce them to her, even though inside you probably don't want to. The best thing to do is always call and check in with her. How old are you?

Apologize to her and don't do it again, if you can help it. It is natural to make mistakes as a teenager and even during adulthood but like the other people said, learn from your mistake. Keep an open line of communication with your mom and everything will be okay. It seems that you are a pretty respectful young person and your mother just wants what's best for you. Remember to be safe.

Sit with your mom and make her feel comfortable by explaining the situation that what exactly made you stay late at your friends place and also tell her about your friend's importance to you.
Ideally you should tell her the truth and that is how you should be tackling this problem

Apologise to your mum for being late and do som e work around the house .Next time phone if you are unavoidably late. Parents worry when their children come home late.A phone call eases a mums mind.Trust me. I am a parent.Maybe next time arrange to be earlier than usual.

Just tell her that next time you won't come home so late but will stay over at your friend's house over night.

haha that happens to me sometimes, but whenever my mom is mad i just suck up to her. The best way is by cleaning the house and doing extra chores. And even though it's hard, say sorry and tell her you know it was wrong, whether you agree with yourself or not. Thats what she wants to hear.

Just say sorry. Do jobs around the house. Buy her some flowers or chocolates.

Please say you are sorry for be late ...you lost track of time and wouldn't be doing it again and if she still seems mom like tell her to cal you friends mom to check that all you did was hang around there chillin' with your friend. It all good.

Listen to your mom because she only does this because she cares and you will not figure that out until you are older and have children of your own!!!
