There are several ways to tell the IRS you have moved. The easiest is to use your new address when you file your 2007 income taxes. If your move happens after you file your return, you can file a form 8822 to inform the IRS. This will ensure any refund or other notices from the IRS reach you.

When you file your 2006 return, your address is automatically updated.

If you are waiting for an old, lost refund, you would want to update your address by completing IRS Form 8822

You may want to change the address, they have a form for it on their web site, if you are expecting a refund that has not been delivered. You can be assured that they will update your address from the next form you file

don't worry; they'll find you.

easiest way is to fill out a 'change of address form' at your local post office; you can even do that online.
