I have a dog house and I have made him sit in it when he goes in his pants, and beating him is out of the question because CAS is involved with all of this.

Ya we do make him wash his own underwear and yes he hides them all over the house as well. he also plays in the feces..Yuck...He just doesnt seem to care. The more we get him to wash his stuff the more he does it like I said we have consulted behavorial theripist phyciatrists , phycologists, childrens physictians every one, most of the suggestions you have givin are great, but we have tryed them all, and for long perods of time ( like min of 3 months each) we have even combined some of them together. I am hoping some one will have a sugestion that we have not tryed yet.

Well, I can see you are realy having a problem with your son. I am so sorry you have to go through this, but my symphathy really is with you son.

My own son was 8 to 9 years old when the STARTED pooping in his pants, seems he was "too busy" playing outside to come inside to poop. I was doing laundry one day, and realized that there was not enough of his underwear in the laundry basket. So, I started looking for the missing underwear, I found them under his bed in his room. Nasty!!

I made him wash out EVERY pair of underwear himself. He soon stopped doing the pooping in the pants. I also used this method on my daughter when she was 3 years old...she was potty trained, but she"forgot to go poop" while she was on the potty...it worked on her too....she really did NOT like washing out her undies!!

So, there ya' go...I wouldn't put too much stock in the ADHD crap...most kids just need a firm hand to guide them....don't be afraid to use it...beating your kid is against the law...not spanking.

Also, true story...my neice was diagnosted with ADHD, and the doctor put her on Ritalin...that stuff is BAD...I do not know of one child that has ever been helped from taking Ritalin. As my neice grew older, she became more of a problem to my sister and the school system. Whenever she went off her Ritalin, she would "act out" by doing something awful.

My neice ended up doing time in prison for forging checks and grand theft auto....she stole from her own grandmother!! It was a real eye opener for my sister, but she kept making excuses for her daughter. There is alot more to this story, not enough room to tell you about how this has effected her children and her mother, and me and the rest of the family.

Best of luck to you...TOUGH LOVE!!!!

It seems as though you've covered all the bases, the only thing I would suggest is to be patient and consistent. Try to locate people in the same situation and see if they have any tactics that have worked for them.

Have you tried making him keep the soiled pants on until be becomes very uncomfortable? My mother told me that I would do that when i was very young, she made me keep the soiled pants on until it was burning. She said I never did that again. I don't know if that would help, but it may be worth a try if you haven't tried it.
