Hey Cassi, first of all, how old are you? You might be under 18 or be over 18 but still live in your parent's home. The truth is that in most cases when we think our parents won't let us have a life, in reality they want us to have a great life and that is why there need to be some rules. I am 26 now and I still remember the rules I hated such as be home by 11pm, now I understand that my parents simply wanted my safety, they loved me so much that they were willing to be the bad guys so that one day I can be the woman I am now. Until you show them that they can trust you the chances are there won't be much "life for you", but show your self respectful and helpful and that might change.

I often feel the same way.
I understand that you're probably younger, (like me :) ), so take a step back first and examine the situation. Maybe they're right with time things. A lot of adolescents tend to become rebellious against their families. You may be right with a lot of things, but also look on their side as well. Tell them that you're their daughter and that they need to understand that you're feeling a little bit compressed between their commands, and you want some time to spread out and "get more of a life". Tell them that it's a peak time for you to discover and enjoy the world from a younger person's point of view.
Best of Luck!

I don't believe that they won't let you have a life. I f you remember they are the one who gave you the life in the first place! Maybe you have a communication problem with your parents. When you negotiate with them try to be open minded and ready to give and take. Don't be too sentimental but try to cut your loses by being polite and last but not the least that do your home work when you discuss with your parents on any important issue. Good luck.

well my parents are similar~ they don't let me have a social life!
but you should talk to them like a grown up~ and don't whine!
ask them why they do what they do? Do they not trust you?
Do something and show responsblity so that they can trust you.
Be nice to your siblings and do good at school, do things that make them happy! then when it comes to you askign them for something they can't say no because you've been so good~
But first make sure to find out WHY they do what they do and make restrictions!
good luck! which I'll need too!

Well have you talked to your parents about how you feel? I'm sure if you did, and explained that you feel that way, then they'll understand and ease off a bit. I can't really say anymore, without knowing specifics, sorry! Hope this helps you!

Just do what they say...that's how you deal with it. You don't have a choice. Everything they do and say is only because they love you and they are trying to protect you while they can.
Stay innocent and mindful of what they say.

Depends on your age. If you are under 18 then its probably for your own good.
