most bachelor degrees are 120 credits. at some schools, they may require some additional practicum experience (internships) as well. it usually takes anywhere between 3-5 years, depending on whether you took AP courses in high school, college courses during winter and summer breaks, failed any college courses, took time off, etc.

Depends on the school. Some have tons of labs or may require you to intern or co-op, others are all theory and no practice. If you really get involved and start minoring in other things and researching it can take 5 years or a little more. In the end you get more if you put in more!

a BS in engineering for students admitted to college from high school is obtained in 4 years due to the many general education classes most colleges force you to take. however, transfer students, those who have completed the general education classes at a community college or elsewhere, can get the BS in 2 or less from a 4 yr university after the transfer.
