If you are anywhere near the Denver area you should come to our house and see what its all about.
I married a Mexican man, the love of my life, and the best step father I could ever ask for my 2 kids! Its an adventure getting to know & understand another culture but we Love it!

When we all get together with my inlaws, its about music, food, talking, playing, fotbol (soccer) & drinking.
Here is a riecent & awsome description; when we all got together to exchange our Christmas gifts there were 5 branches of the family in one small living room. One branch had just started to pass out thier gifts when there was a knock on the door. One sister-in-law looked at me & we both said "there is no more room!" Well, by God, I learned that there is always room!! Everyone else began scooting over, pulling out chairs, finding - making room. As the 4 members came in they didn't just wave & say "Hi! Merry Christmas" They each filed in and went person to person to person hugging, kissing on the cheak & wishing each & every person in the room a Merry Chirstmas.

How do we all feel about the heat, heating up...scared, very scared, worried, upset, sad, disgusted, angry...I am Very, very angry. Largely due to the sheer ignorance of so many people I see here on YA. So much of the info that is spread is racist, generalizations that are untrue. Peoples hate and willingness to spread it is amazing to me...

For people's experiences of claiming asylum in UK, check:

http://www.refugee-action.org.uk/voices/default.aspx

For stories of people trying to revese decisions to deport, check:

http://www.ncadc.org.uk/campaigns/help.htm

I am also mailing you the case of a woman that was deported on Thursday.

The haters won't believe a word of any of this, or else more likely wouldn't care anyway, but while I wouldn't claim that all asylum-seekers have these experiences, I know from living and working with them that they are not unusual.

ur question is much too general and needs clarification. "Immigrants" is too broad. Specify country of origin. Or go to the INS website, now www.uscis.gov/
