They are good for the environment but not your baby's skin, they don't absorb as much as a disposable and so are uncomfortable causing painfull nappy rash which = more discomfort for your baby.

why are you using terri nappies in this day and age, they are bad for the babies bottom, they itch and they chaffe and they soak more fluid than a throw away......the disposable ones are the easiest, no fuss....why is the MIL on your case, it's your baby isn't it?...or is she just showing you how to fold a nappy incase you have some?....but i used to fold mine into a double triangle (depending on the size of the baby) and pull the middle part up between the babys legs then pull both sides (not too tight) to the middle and put a nappy pin in the front, getting the 3 sides intact, then put a pair of rubbers over so nappy so it does not leak....still not good for babies bot....they leak

Yh lol, lay the square on the floor, fold the sides in as if you are going to make a paper aeroplane, then fold the top down, Lay the baby on it and fold the sides all to the middle and fasten!

It is easy, but it's not so easy trying to explain without actually showing you! 3 folds that's all, have a little practise it will work!
Good luck!

Your husband should tell her to stop interfering aswell!
