Ok so you weigh 320....hmmm, it depends on what you've tried and the scope of this is too large to be answered on yahoo answers but Ill tell you what got me to lose 70 pounds:

I read an ebook (lol) and its tought me all the various things I need to know, i used to be 250 and now im 180. Anyways some things you should start doing RIGHT NOW is

1.To drink lots of water at all times and stop drinking those damned energy drinks

2. Eat SMALL meals throughout the day periodically, no large meals, no dinner, no lunch , sorry!

3.Get a colon cleanse, the benefits are PHENOMENOL to your life in all aspects.

running or swimming
by swimming 50 yards in a pool you loose 218 calories
cardio is key
drink plenty of water
play basketball everyday for at least 30 mins its exercise
resist cravings! cravings only last about 15 mins
think about this would you rather be satisfied for 15 mins or for your entire life?
good luck im looking to loose about 20 pounds in 3 months

I'm sure the coach will help you with that. Just playing ball will help you loose weight. Try not to eat too many snacks late at night before bed. Try some fruit.

How much do you weigh? Losing 50 lbs isn't easy. And it's not healthy depending on how much you weigh.

You shouldn't be dieting at this age. But just make healthy choices e.g less junk food.

fruit and veg, chicken fish, rice, pasta - sensible stuff in good large portions, so he doesn't get hungry and eat crap
