I was sent this in an email. The way I understand the story a group scientist in Siberia drilled 50 miles into the center of the Earth. At that point there drill started spinning. They dropped a thermometer in the hole and the temperature was 12,000 Fahrenheit. They dropped a microphone a to their surprise they heard the screams of people crying out in torment. I would like to know what you think of this. Maybe you have heard it before. If not here's the link:

According to Snopes.com it's a hoax. I believe there's a hell, but I don't like hoaxes. If you want your faith to last, it has to be built with truth & certainty, not hype. For example, I once worked for a tree-pruning company. We were clearing a piece of land with some trees in it, wearing hard-hats & ear-plugs, because there was use of noisy chainsaws, etc.
I was loading cut wood from trees into a truck, going in a straight line, back & forth, each way.
After awhile, as I began walking towards the truck with a load of wood, I stepped forward, and my left foot mysteriously moved way over to the far right, and I, being tired, meandered around in a big arc, uphill, along a slope. At the farthest part of that arc, a fairly tall tree came crashing down to my left with the leaves of the topmost branches barely brushing my left shoulder. -- Another worker had felled a tree carelessly in my direction without proper warning. If I had kept walking straight along my usual path, the trees larger branches might have severely injured me or killed me.
Trust me, stay away from mere hype. Oh, yeah, that WOULD be some awesome microphone !

It's a load of bunk !!!50 miles of mic-lead would be way to costly and even then the voltage drop / Resistance would make it useless....not to mention that the earth and for the most part it's core create random and extreme magnetic fields that would "sound" like most anything....from bells ringing , horns , voices , etc.....So I would say it's a scam.....don't open E-mail unless you know who sent it - I hope you didn't get a virus or send any money !!!

Sure if I drilled a hole 50 miles deep the first thing I'd do is drop a microphone down it-where do they dream these things up?

Poor thing! :~ A mike could not withstand the heat, pressure or magnetic interference. Besides, they would have to drill much farther then that.

While it is true that Hell is in The Bowels of The Earth, that story is a Hoax.

A long-debunked fake. There are several different "recordings of hell" going around the net. This is just one more.

It was a hoax story, and if anyone tries to pass it off as true then anyone can scream into a mic to make it believable.
