Why have I not been asked if I want to upgrade from MSN Messenger version 7.5 to Windows Live Messenger 8.0?

8.0 has validation in it to check that your version of windows is genuine. I'm guessing that you need to opt in to this so they don't do automatic updates.

feel lucky I am changing back to 7.5 and so didn't a bunch of people I know 8.0 sucks
