I've had mine for about 3yrs now and never had a problem with it. It's right in the middle and goes right though the "meat." I've gotten questioned a few times, when it was brought up, as far as why I did it. But all I can say is, I just wanted one. I was told when I got it done that it can increase, decrease, or stay the same as far as sensation goes, but mine inproved a bit, makes all my sense work at once when it's touched or kissed. Didn't hurt at all when I got it, it was like a "pinch" and it was done got up, paid, and left. Never got infected and I don't think I'll ever take it out.
Just really trying to get feedback, both from males and females... wondering if anyone out there has one, or knows someone who does. Also, why did you get it? How many do you have? Do it really make everthing better or worse? Did it hurt? Did it get infected? How long have you had it? Ever take it out? Better or Worse? Does it get in the way? Or anything wanna say, even if you appose it.

I have a vertical clitoral hood piercing. For about a year. I love it. Increased sensation quite a bit.
I don't know why i got it. One day i was driving and the idea just popped in my head. Did internet research for a couple weeks, looked at lots of pictures, and researched piercers in my area. Found one i considered to be reputable about an hour away.
I have fourteen piercings, and this was by far my easiest to heal. Even easier than my earlobes. I thought as far as actual piercings go, this was my most painful, however the pain lasted just a second. as soon as the needle was through the skin, there was never any pain again. Nothing. The pain was sharp and hot, whereas most piercings are dull and pressure. Never infected. I did have to go back about two weeks later to get the jewlery changed because the barbell was too short, but that was no big deal. I'd say more or less healed in two weeks, completely in six.
I'm a labor and delivery nurse. This is an incredibly popular piercing. Not on the level of the tongue or naval, but much more popular than say, the nose or unusual cartilidge piercings.
No, I've never taken it out. and I probably never will. if i ever have to have surgery, i'll go get a piece of plastic jewelry put in until after the surgery. Seriously, I love this piercing.

I think it depends on the person really. Never had one but honestly not because of the 'Sexy/Skanky' thing. The real reason is because, though most get those piercings to heighten sexual pleasure... A LOT of them lose complete feeling down there after a while. Pretty bad, don't you think? Actually, our Mayor in the state I live in actually dubbed those piercings Illegal because his daughter, who got one, completely lost feeling in her genital area. Age: 18, almost 19 Gender: Female

genital piercings....interesting.i don't see anything wrong with that.it's cool that you had the courage to do that,(it sounds painful)....not many women do that(i guess)...i don't have any piercings,but i couldn't help leave a comment here....you simply don't have to worry what people think of you having a piercing down there...you do what you want with your body and that's not something to affect anyone,not even yourself.you like it and that's the most important thing.what the world says about it doesn't matter.sorry if i sound cheesy here,but that's my opinion.and i personally think it's very cool that you have a piercing down ther,or it could be anywhere...lol i love piercings in general.

I had a friend who decided to get a piercing on his johnson, but it got infected and was horrible for him -- many months of medical care.
You may just be extra clean or lucky, but for a lot of people, the dangers are pretty real.

There was a friend of mine who went to highschool with a girl who had hers done. She would orgasm going up the stairs. A guy I went to elementary school got his done. All I can say is ouch! I would think it's definately not as painful for a girl as it would be for a guy. Why would a guy do that to himself? I wouldn't do it, in case it would get infected. It's one thing to have your belly button infected, but to have your vagina infected...oww. And with all the peeing going on down there...hmm. I wouldn't want to risk loosing my sensitivity. And if I was over sensitive, creaming myself all the time in my daily life activities wouldn't be good. I just wouldn't have the guts to do it.
