Ok well im going out with this kid and i like him A LOT! but the thing is that i think he is using me as a rebound from this girl (my bestfriend) that broke up with him like a week before we started going out. He used to be very mean to me. But then out of nowhere he asked me out. See i think he might not like me and might still have strong feelings for her. Well i dont mind that he still has feelings for her because i still have feelings for this other kid that was my first love. Well the point is how do i address him of this? I really dont know what to do. If i do ask him if he is using me as a rebound then im afraid i might not get the truth. I just need to know if he actually likes me or not. cause if not i am just wasting my time and feeling pretty stupid and used. How do i do that? How do i truely know? PLEASE HELP!!

The answer is to start feeling him out with round about questions like:
what do you think about rebound relationships,
would you ever go out with someone that you were not sure that you liked,
how would you feel about someone who did,
what does it mean when someone is mean and then suddenly nice to someone.
Any or all of the above might get him talking.

first off, why date your bestfriends ex? Isn't that like some kind of "sisterhood no no"? Second, he is most likely using you to get to her, or just plain using you.
Dump him, and don't worry about him anymore.
