The first question is your definition of love. Then, love is not overrated, because we rate love as to how we feel aboout the person (or people). For example, I love my parents very much and I don't over rate that; however, my love for my wife and kids are of a different nature as this is the family where I'm the head, and that is a totally different kind of love, nonetheless, that's not over rated either because that's how we feel about it. If it's overrated then we'd be lying about our feelings!

Because its such a strong societal pressure to be married etc that people are conditioned to try and do this. I fall in to this category myself but I think thats why we do it. I mean love is good but it is so fun to be free and have casual sex with whoever you can and have no one to answer to.
