Have you tried cleaning the area with rubbing alcohol, let it dry, then apply. Might have oily skin.

If the patch is not defective, then the problem is with your skin. You should always wash the area and make sure it is completely dry before applying the patch.

Unusually sweaty skin may also cause the adhesive to loosen. If you normally sweat more than most people, then you may consider holding the patch in place with bandaging, wrapped all the way around the body part.

If you have never noticed that you sweat more than most, and you are now sweating, particularly under the patch, you may be having an allergic reaction to, either the drug, or the adhesive, itself.

If it is an over-the-counter drug, talk it over with the pharmacist. If it is a prescription drug, talk to your doctor.

I have the same problem. I wear Fentanyl Patches and they never stick. First of all, I make sure that my skin is perfectly clean. I use a salt scrub to get off all of the "goo" left over from the last patch (although I alternate the patch from arm to arm). I make sure that my arm is free from all lotions, etc. and that my arm is completely dry. The, if they still don't stick, I use a tape made by NexCare or BandAid and cover my patch really good to make sure that it won't come off. My patch stays on until I change it every 3 days. I know it's supposed to stick to your arm, the pharmacist told me it was, but it never does. I don't know what is wrong with my arm. When they give me the same patch in the hospital, it sticks by itself! Seems like the problem is with the manufacturer who supplies the patches to the pharmacies for home use. Anyway, try using the tape (made especially for medical purposes). It works for me. Best of luck to you!

Never have ever used a patch but I would guess duct tape could do the job. Just tape on the outer edges of the patch!

try cleaning the skin with alcholol first. when you peel the backing wait a few sec and wave the patch in the air before applying make sure the skin is totally dry.

Haven't run into this myself, but some suitable tape would probably deal with it nicely.

Are you wearing any lotion? Don't do it on that spot. Also try not to use any heavy moisturizing soap or shower gel. that worked for my friend.
