She is within normal limits until 69 days..If she hasn't whelped by day 69, then take her to the vet for him/her to help her get started.
I hope you have been giving her prenatal vitamins, from the vet or a pet supply shop, as she will need the extra calcium for a successful delivery..especially as she isn't eating well..
the best hing you can do for her, is to take deep breaths and relax, so she will be less stresssed...

Hi Destiny_alight!!!

65 days pregnant today, is very good!!
Labor should begin within 24 hours of the drop in temperature. Stage I labor consists of nesting behavior, uterine contractions that are not visible (but can be palpated in most cases), panting, restlessness and often a decrease in appetite. This stage usually doesn't last longer than 24 hours.

During the first 6 to 24 hours, she may become restless, pant frequently and even vomit. Contractions will usually begin soon after this. Your dog may give birth laying down or standing up. You may help her, but try to keep the audience to a minimum, and never forcibly pull puppies out of the birth canal.

The mother should eat the placental membrane surrounding each puppy within five minutes of birth. If this doesn't happen, remove the membrane and use a suction bulb to dislodge mucus from the puppy's mouth and nose. Rub the puppy with a towel to stimulate breathing.

The mother will usually sever the umbillical cord as well, but if she doesn't, simply tie dental floss or thread around the umbillical cord about an inch from the puppy's navel. Then, cut the cord next to the thread, but on the side of the placenta. Dip the remaining stump in iodine. Make sure the mother delivers afterbirth with every puppy, so that she doesn't retain any tissues that could cause inflammation.

Call your veterinarian immediately if:

You notice a green or cloudy discharge from your dog's vulva
Pregnancy lasts more than 65 days
Your dog does not give birth within 24 hours after her rectal temperature dropped below 99°F
If she doesn't deliver a puppy within 20 minutes after hard contractions begin. In some cases, she may need a cesarean section.
When your dog has finished delivery, check to make sure all the puppies are nursing. It's crucial that puppies ingest the mother's milk during the first 24 hours, because it contains colostrum, a substance that transfers important antibodies to the puppies to initiate their immune systems, and help prevent disease.

It sounds like she's very close to to whelping. that's not uncommon for mama canines this close to to start to not opt for to eat very a lot; the doggies are urgent hostile to her abdomen. She nonetheless needs nourishment, though, so try tempting her with small bowls of boiled hamburger and white rice. to inform at the same time as the births are eminent, you would try taking her temperature (rectally) two times an afternoon. very typically, the mama's temperature will drop to about ninety 8 stages 12-24 hours previously the doggies come. The births will be preceeded through a short gush of fluid (which lubricates the start canal) and the domestic dog will seem as a buldge between the mama's anus and vagina correct previously that's born. doggies will be born are various periods; each and every now and then coming 2 or 3 in succession, and then a lengthy pause previously the subsequent one arrives. do not difficulty about the pauses between births except the mummy is going for more desirable than 5 hours with out generating a domestic dog. this may propose that her urterus can now not settlement and he or she would elect emergency vet interest to get the perfect of the doggies out.

I'm not a pro-breeder or anything. And I'm only familiar with temp. readings on the Fahrenheit scale. I'm told a dogs temp drops 5 degrees 24 hours before she delivers the first pup. also, isn't 65 days a little long ? I thought it was a standard 61 days for dogs. I'd take her to the Vet if she was mine

are you sure of the dates ?
I would expect when her temp drops to 98 she will deliver if dates are good though I would have her checked out at vet for any signs of infection.
I do hope you have all the whelp issues sorted out , if not log onto our breeding site
www.eurobichons.com
register and read all the pages on dog pregnancy, neonatal pups, and how to care for them the first week is so very important , many die due to the lack of care owners give just because they dont know.
Good luck with the delivery

I think you need to take the dog to the vet. Could be the pups are too big to go through the canal, making the dog very uncomfortable, if not in outright pain. The sooner, the better.

My dog typically has her puppies between 61 and 63 days. I think waiting 65 days is too long. I think you should call the vet. Your dog may need a cesarean...if she needs surgery and you don't take her she and the puppies could die...I hope everything works out for your dog.

so you have stated she has been wanting to go to toilet more, and she is only passing trickles of wee,to me it sounds as if she may have a blockage, maybe a puppy already in birth canal, but may be stuck,it would probably be worth taking you dog to vets for them to actually examine her, saying that it could be she is just very full of puppys and they are sitting on a point that makes her want to wee more, but definitely worth taking her to vet,
good luck, and please let us know how you get on

my experienece has been 3 days. at most then you might want to take her in b/c i had a toy poodle and a great dane that did that and they both died before we got them in. So please get her in in the next day or so b/c there might be a blockage or it may sound horrible but one of the puppies might be dead and blocking the passage.
