Although Franks Red sauce with butter is the original recipe. I happen to like this recipe better and the wings are baked not fried. You will need 2 packages of Good Seasons Italian Salad Dressing, 1/2 stick of butter, 1 lemon juiced, and 1 bottle of La Victoria salsa (Hot). Put all the ingredients into a pot and bring to a boil then remove from heat. Put the chicken wings into the mixture and then place tham in a baking dish any sauce left in pot can be poured over the wings. Bake until they are cooked throughout in a 350 oven. If you like your wings not so hot, use the type of salsa that applies mild, medium etc. I have made my wings this way for a long time and haven't had any complaints yet. I hope this is what you wanted to know.

What else is in your sauce, if you just add a little seasoning or a few veggies or whatever, than you probably will get into a bit of trouble claiming it as your own. But on the other hand if you just use a spoonful or cupful then why not? Otherwise every time we made something using ingredients (Heinz ketchup for BBQ sauce for example) wouldn't that infringe on the others rights? It's a very good question, opens up a lot of legal issues that might need a lawyers help if you were serious about trying to sell your product.

Authentic hot wing sauce is hot sauce mixed with melted butter or oil which the wings are then tossed in after deep frying. Just add whatever amount of hot sauce you like to your base to make the wings as spicy or mild as you like.

Forget about the butter, you dont need it, and if it sits too long it looks like crap. Take some habanero sauce and cayenne or jalopeno sauce (which are your typical hot sauces in a grocery store), mix the two together with some herbs of your choice. Usually I mix the two sauces with some oregano and thyme along with cayenne pepper, chili powder and salt. If you want to have a thick sauce, you can simmer the sauce until it reduces or you can bring it to a simmer and add a cornstarch slurry to thicken it.

I like it...
Hot: 1 1/2 part butter, 1 part cayenne pepper sauce, 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes.
Buffalo: 2 parts butter, 1 part cayenne pepper sauce.
For both sauces, melt them together in a small saucepan, put in a bowl with already cooked chicken, put a lid on the bowl and shake to coat, bake the chicken on a pan at 375 for 5 minutes, serve.

This is a completecated but Authentic recipe
THE GREATEST BUFFALO CHICKEN WING
SAUCE
2 cups of dry cayenne peppers (50 grams)
1/2 cup of water
1/3 cup of chopped onion
1 chopped garlic
1/3 cup of chopped tomato
1 cup of white vinegar
1 stick of butter
1 bottle of lousiana sauce
1/2 lemon's juice
1 teaspoon of honey
1/4 cup of ketchup
my friends and my family won't stop coming over to have some of this delicious finger-licking good special sauce. And here's how you make it:
Start by roasting the cayenne peppers on a pan over a medium high flame. Toss them around inside the pan for a couple of minutes and make sure you don't let these get burned. Add enough water to cover the peppers and bring water to a boil. Let them cook for ten minutes. Drain water and place them in blender. Add 1/2 Cup of Water, 1/2 Cup of Vinegar and salt. Blend on high and percolate.
Place butter stick on a pan over a medium flame so that it melts. Add Onion, Garlic, Tomato and the whole bottle of Lousiana Sauce. Let all cook for about five minutes stirring occasionally. Immediately pour into blender and add the percolated cayenne pepper sauce. Blend on high for two minutes. Add the lemon’s juice, the honey and the ketchup, and blend again for a few seconds. Pour back into the pan where you melted the butter, and let it simmer for a good 20 minutes.
What I usually do, is fry the chicken wings until they’re golden brown and very crispy and then I dip each one into the sauce.

This is so simple, and so good! We swear by this one.
1/3 cup Louisiana Hot Sauce
6 Tbsp. butter/margarine
1 packet Good Seasonings Italian dressing powder
Melt the butter and hot sauce, then stir in the dressing powder.
(The mix packet is the crucial ingredient, don't skip that.)
