If I try to use Systm Restore w XPSP2, It says"No Changes Have Been Made" and won't restore. HELP!

There have been a huge amount of changes: added and removed many programs, applications, bookmarks, files, data, etc. What is Sys Restore referring to? It takes about 20 minutes to scan the pc, and then the "no changes made" message appears.

Also, the Dell Support 3.2 programs tells me no restore points are being created, but when I open Sys Restore to create manual points, there are many system created points saved. I don't want to have to uninstall and reinstall XPSP2, but if it is the only way to be safe, I will. What should I do?

System Restore is used to roll back the essential Windows settings to an earlier time. Many folks have problems doing a system restore while trying to do it in regular Windows mode.
