These absences or very short blackouts seem to be a little worse when tired or stressed. Also his eyes seem to role back and I see the whites of his eyes and not the iris or pupils. He does not remember or seem to be aware of these episodes.

They sound like absence seizures. Don't worry if you take him to the doctor they'll take a history and probably refer him to a neurologist, who will then will order an EEG, that should confirm it. I have epilepsy myself and have absences but usually if I forget to take my medication, if i take it then i don't have a problem. Also if your son is quite young, there is a chance he'll grow out of it. hope this helps x

Sounds like petit mal seizures. These are fairly common, and that particular type of is often outgrown by the age of 13. He needs to be evaluated by a neurologist. They are easily treated. I am an epileptic myself, (I have a different type of seizures, and have been controlled for years.) Don't let him get treated any differently - this is really important! I am a paramedic now, so look at it that way - I can even tolerate strobe lights now, when they used to be something that would bring on seizures.

My cousins 4yr old son was the same, he used to have these seizures for a few seconds and after that he was exhausted. He was diagnosed with epilepsy and takes medication. He still gets them but less frequently and milder. Take him to the doctors if its epilepsy he needs treatment. All the best.

He would desire to be gay. or perhaps he's merely no longer into those issues. He won't be in a position to administration how tall he grows or while he starts off getting facial hair. yet merely because of the fact he would not want to bypass to strip golf equipment and drink beer and seem at porn with you will not propose there is something incorrect with him. have faith it or no longer, some adult men merely truthfully are not into that. Does he have a girl pal? if so, he probable feels as though staring at porn or going to a strip club could be untrue of him. And he's eighteen, he's no longer on the criminal eating age yet. there's no longer something incorrect with no longer prepared to interrupt the regulation and be a pervert. in case you think of it is a sadness, you're able to desire to get your priorities straightened out. Your son sounds like a stable youngster, and you do no longer sound like a great number of a father. he's a sadness because of the fact he would not want to drink beer or seem at bare females? And "what do women understand approximately elevating sons?" To me it sounds such as you are the guy who would not understand something approximately elevating a baby. there is surely no longer something incorrect along with your son. boost up and recover from it.

Epilepsy..

You are describing basic patterns of epilepsy..
Does he complain of headaches, sickness or lack of sleep as well? If so Migraine may also be a consideration.

I suggest to be safe make an appointment with a doctor
Do not worry, both conditions are easy to control on medication (if indeed he has any of these conditions)

Well definitely something is going on that needs medical attention. Sounds like epilepsy. I have it myself. Thing is these little short absences or black outs can become biggies if left untreated. So please get him into your doctor ASAP if you haven't already! Don't worry Mum, he'll be ok.

Take him to a doctor .

NOW.

Really I can't believe that some people will ask complete strangers on an internet forum rather than do the obvious.
