what happens when you file for bankruptcy. and you continue filing for a child that doesnt live with you. do you get in trouble.

Yes. Don't claim a dependent child who is not living with you.

And taxes can not be bankrupted.

What would that have to do with bankrupcy?

Bankrupcy doesn't discharge taxes that you owe.

Unless you have the legal right to claim the child, you're likely to have it disallowed and have to pay back any money you got off your taxes that you weren't entitled to. And yes, you can get in trouble. Not a wise thing to do.

yes and they will come after you. and bankruptcy does not apply to owing back taxes. you will still owe them!!!
