With it being Sunday, your vet might not be open today & the emergency clinics charge an arm & leg to refer you back to your own vet when he is open.
If you opt not to go to the emergency clinic over vomit, I'd not blame you. I have 5 dogs and one or another seems to vomit at least once a month.
Sometimes it is because they ate too fast, drank too much water too quickly or because someone has snuck them human food. If you change a dogs food, they will often vomit, as well.
If you did not see worms or blood, you can make a special treat for him to help him stay nourished & hydrated.
Brown ground beef, after it is browned, boil it for just a minute & rinse well to remove all fats. Boil white rice & mix with the browned ground beef. It will be gentle on his aching belly & help provide protein & water, needed for energy & healing.
If he is still not eating tonight, especially if you cook this up for him & he still has no appetite, definitely get him to the vets in the AM

I am not a vet, but I do have three dogs. Check and make sure your dog didn't eat anything he shouldn't of. If your dog goes outside by himself, he might've eaten something and then threw it up. If he still doesn't want to eat after a little while, then take him to a vet. It could be something more serious. I hope I helped you.

I had a friend that had a dog that at times did have stomach problems, and whenever HE barfed we were told by his vet to give him pepto to calm his stomach down, sooooooooooooo I suggest that you call your vet see if they think that it's okay to get your pet pepto and how much and then if he is not better then take him to the vet.

My dog used to do this a lot and when I took him to the vet they said that dogs throw up sometimes and its not a big deal. If he seems really listless and not acting like himself at all, trying playing with him. If he doesn't respond like he normally does, take him to the vet. It could just be an upset tummy or something much worse.

Give him water, check his nose. Let him rest for about 30 min- 1 hour and if his nose is still warm take him to the vet. He might have been sniffing around the kitchen and picked up raw meet or somethign else that upset his stomach.

Clean it up, put the dog in a warm (but not too hot) place, give him plenty of rest and lots of water, and take him to the vet.

Well u know the obvious to clean it up and look to see if there is anything different then what he eats.Otherwise I wouldn't worry about it because dogs do that sometimes. You could of fed him to much.Or he could of ate to fast. The list goes on.If he doesn't throw up anymore I wouldn't worry about it.If he keeps on then I would call the vet and see what they suggest.Good luck Plus today is Saturday not Sunday Timmy.
