Yes. Some need to be supervised in order to behave. Picture a gigantic day-care with an omnipotent nanny. Unable to act accordingly on their own many need that opressive omni-parent to watch over them. Also if anything goes, it gives them someone to blame instead of taking responsibility for their own actions.

Most relgious people do believe that.
But when they allow God's Holy Spirit to guide them more each day, they get over that having to live under condemnation.

No they do not because they are not watched by anyone other than big brother, God watches over no one, he may visit this earth sometimes but that's all, and that's only to see how well we are evolving.

Yes, it is crucial that they know they are being watched.
But when they sit on the toilet and grunt, they feel embarrassed.
