Why do I still love him?

Question

I was going out with this guy for over half a year and, only recently, he said that he was only going out with me because he basically felt sorry for me. The thing is, I really loved him and I thought he loved me too and that we were happy together. I was really devastated and p*ssed off at first, but now I'm not really sure how I feel. I just know that I still love him.
My question is: What do I do now? I don't want to love him anymore and I just don't know what to do...

of course, you'll always love him... especially if he's your first love
but anyway... what an asshole he is to go out with you for THAT long just because he felt sorry for you, i'm SO sorry that you had to date someone that inconsiderate
be happy that you're not with him now, and that you're free to find someone who will treat you like a queen!!:)
for now, keep yourself busy and surround yourself with friends and people you love.

Sorry to bring bad news, you will never really get over it, you will still think about him from time to time, however, the good news is plenty of fish in the sea, sometimes there poison-is, But one day you'll catch that perfect fish and It will be the greatest thing forever, In the meantime get your friend Ice cream chocolate and your fave sulk movies and have a night at home but always finish Pretty Woman, proof that no matter what you can still get your prince, It would probably, be a good idea to find something to express yourself with, like drawing music etc, and in time will become easier.

You just need to move on. Sounds like he isnt worth it. I loved my ex but I found out it was a BAD kind of love that we had. There are other guys that will love you and treat you the way you deserbe to be treated. I found one and so will you.
