It is a possibility, the best thing is get her tested. My daughter has ADD, I chose not to give her medications for it. I use an alternative diet plan. If she turns out to have it check out feingold.org I think it's great. But sound like it could be best way to know is get her tested

It could be, or she could also just be very very stressed. I actually have attention deficit disorder, and mine manifests itself more in that I jump from one subject to the next--people often say that I give them whiplash when I talk with them because I switch subjects without warning. When trying to get something done, I'm not hyperactive, just have an extremely hard time getting through one task at a time. What helps me is not having any outside noise when I'm trying to get something done, not even music. (I stop and listen and then get off on another mental track). I also take mini-breaks when I feel like my mind is wandering, and then I come back to my task determined to get it done before I do anything else. Hope this helps!

it sounds like ADD. My daughter is seven and has been diagnosed for a year... and she had periods of time during homework where it was a battle just to get her to sit still.. your best bet would be to go to your GP and get a referal... there are a few tricks that she can do at home to help her study, i usually break up study time for my daughter into 15min increments that way she can walk away relax then come back to refocus on the problem at hand... one of the main things is to keep on encouraging her to keep trying.

It's possible. If she loses track during EVERYTHING she does - like watching TV or doing stuff with friends. Speak to her doctor and see if he or she can recommend a neurologist who can run tests. If it's only school work she does this in, it may not be - she just may have learning issues or need tutoring.

Good chance. You can have her tested by a professional to be sure and she can take medication that will help her tremendously in being able to focus and finish projects. Good luck!

well, does she sit down and watch tv? listen to music? etc,,,,, if so, then chances are she is just being a teen, doesnt have ADD,,,,, try having her study for limited amounts of time, say 30 minutes,,,,,,,, girls go threw alot at this age,,,,, and many stop studying,, if you still have doubts , have her seen by a doctor,,,

while i grew to become right into a young person, I bit my nails for years, till i grew to become into 23! It grew to become into my way of 'controlling' issues (I discovered later). once I broke the habit, mockingly I discovered i grew to become into allergic to acetone in nail polish, and now that i'm fifty 4, over the years I chew my nails on and rancid (no nail polish in spite of the undeniable fact that). it is the comparable compusion of pulling hair or reducing or nail biting. Please permit her understand that i'm thinking of her, that she isn't on my own. She needs to work out her splendor. and he or she needs to be taking some duty AT HER %.. merely go away her on my own approximately it and he or she'll come around in time - she has plenty on her plate and it is stressful for her to shield. The nail biting isn't any vast deal - go away it on my own!
