LOL, well my 2 year old has written on my walls...BUT SHE'S 2!!!! Your kids are 6, old enough to know better! You might want to check into a local parenting class if you feel the need to question your skills as a parent. Their teacher isn't writing on the walls, its called a blackboard...BIG DIFFERENCE. Good luck to you!

Yes. EVen if you don't care about your house, they will be VERY unpopular at other people's houses. You just can't teach your kids that writing on walls is acceptable. Why don't you get them a blackboard or whiteboard like their teacher has?

Kids will be kids, but they need to learn to be respectful. I would blister my son's *** for doing something like that, but then again I have taught him what behavior is acceptable and what isn't.
A six year old knows that writing on the walls is wrong, just like drawing in books and pulling his sisters hair. Put your foot down. Making the excuse that he sees his teachers do it is just blind.

How about buying them a white board.

I guess if you lived in a real crappy place it wouldn't be such a big deal but I work hard to have a very nice house that is decorated well so when my son started writing on things I got him a ton of papers, notebooks, journals and a white board.

OMG...are you kidding? YOU are responsible for teaching these kids how to behave in a proper and socially acceptable manner. How are they going to learn NOT to write on the walls if you don't teach them that it is not acceptable behavior? Provide them with plenty of paper, chalkboard, writing materials, etc.

Yes. They need a designated area where they can write, or they'll go to other people's houses and start writing on their walls someday. (Not to mention, ruin yours!)

You can get them a chalkboard or whiteboard, or even get the really cool chalkboard paint - it turns any wall into a chalkboard.

YES, it IS a bad thing!!!

You should buy a dry-erase board and put it on the wall.

Well, they're kind of destroying your house, aren't they?

What about giving them some paper?
Or buying a chalkboard or a white board for them to use?
