I guess it would depend on what religion/philosophy one subscribes to. Some folks have a limited or marginalized concept about who or what God is. I would dare to peep that God sees the totality, the ultimate, the innermost, the absolute reality, while man usually sees only the individual, the subjective, the limited, the ego restricted aspect of what reality is. It's interesting how some will become "enlightened" or spiritually "realized" and manifest clarity, and insights that go beyond everyday people.
In essence, a spiritually awakened man will see a microcosm or smaller example of what God sees on a Cosmic level. Kind of like the ocean and the drop from it.
