I think we live in a world of excess corruption and evil and with all the bad natural things happening in the world, it might be a sign.

Sure - the world has been ending for two thousand years, and each generation of Christians is absolutely certain that it's imminent -- beginning with the first generation of Paul's converts, as evidenced by the NT. It's endlessly ending.

We are absolutely without a doubt in the end times. Anyone who doesn't believe this hasn't read the multitude of Bibilcal prophesies that describe the characteristics of this time.

I know, folks in other eras were convinced THEY were in the end times. However, a careful reading of Scripture proves they failed to consider the entirety of what the Bible said and instead focused on bits and pieces. In 1948, humanity witnessed the major sign that the Tribulation is near: Israel was reborn as a nation. We are now seeing the first wave of the regathering of the Jews. In 2005, Israel announced that, for the first time in nearly 2,000 years, there are more Jews living there than in any other place on earth.

Here's a good list of end time characteristics, as described in the Bible:

The end of individual's lives is near. Each will die someday. But the end to the world will never happen. Not even in a zillion years!

The end? Sure, fundamentalists of all stripes are pushing to end it so they can proudly stand up and say "See, we were right!" But that's what happens when you think that you get a "do over" once the second coming happens.

not only is the end near, but it has already come, and will come. The end that was spoken of in the Bible is not the end of the Earth, but the end of 'this' world which refers to the end of the old covenant of works to please God and earn eternal life. That end comes when one sees the light that God made us his children by Christ and that we have eternal life now, and that life is not the life of this flesh, but who we really are, spirit, and we can never die. Your unbelieving flesh will die, but your believing spirit never will.

Yes, I think that the Lord might be coming back soon. But of course, we should never assume. Jesus doesn't even know, only God.
