If so, I want to confess that sometimes I do inadvertently stare at Muslim women wearing hijabs. But I want you to know that it's not because I look down on them AT ALL. It's because I admire them so greatly, for their modesty and courage to dress in accordance with their personal convictions.

But hey it doesn't get to me as i know I'm only doing it for the sake of Allah (swt) and for my modesty... So i walk on proudly

IN Canada, a scarf over the hair doesnt raise any stares, but the whole burkha thing does. Whenever I see a women on the subway wearing a burkha, I always think her husband is a real jerk for making her wear that outfit knowing that everyone is going to stare. It may not be out of place in the Middle east, but it is here.

Whats wrong with the scarf covering the hair and the long dress from neck to toe and long sleeves? It's reasonably discreet, and still gives the same message without being out of place, IMO.

I read your question with interest, and started looking for replies, because I was interested in any response you had!
Instead there was a notice from some nut 'looking for some loving'!A great forum this isnt it?
Dont give up, it's a question I have wondered about myself, but have always thought that the answer would be that they are in fact proud to be dressed the way they are, I will be still interested to see your replies, the other reples I think would be from 'nuts' who think they have no choice other than to dress like that!

You admire them because they were asked to cover up from head to toe by Mohammad so that he would not feel any lust after collecting already 11 wives and countless concubines and slave girls ? You admire women who are asked to cover up in a tent cloth by men of the Middle East ? What is there to admire unless you admit that they do it so that their own men will not feel lustful for anything even slightly exposed, like the neck or hair ? Normal men do not feel lustful if they see a woman who is decently dressed not covered up like a walking tent.

I'm the same way. Don't feel bad. I can't help it and I don't blame them for looking at me rather almost angry for doing it but I'm always secretly cheering them on. It's one of the things about Islam that I think is one of the nicest.

Anyone whose religion can be determined by the way they dress, is way too religious.

I often look VERY VERY Closely to see if it is really a man inside!

One guy dressed as his sister and used her passport to escape via Heathrow.

Two guys dressed in same costumes held up a muslim Jewelery store in East Canada...........wiped the poor slob out.. no insurance.
