Ha Ha! and thank you for the *(some)*, so many people generalize, its refreshing to see you thought carefully while writing.
We are silly...we want what we cant get, then when we get it....we dont want it anymore.
Fear of reality, commitment..I know myself personally, I found the most unappealing (liars, cheaters) guys attractive and the nice guys who really liked me turned me off, until I met my (now) husband.
I think I had to plow the field, if you know what I mean, to figure out what I needed in a guy. I ended up marrying a 'nice guy', when 10 years before I was running from them.
Maturity, perhaps? go out with an older set of gals....see what happens.
good luck!!

OK, as a lady, who is guilty of this, I'm going to try to help you. Some girls loose interest when they find out they guy they've been toying with is interested back. Some are afraid of getting hurt because they've been down that road before. But most of the time, if she really likes you a lot, then she wont run away. They get pissed when you hide your feeling because they they start thinking that you aren't really as interested as you might really be. Girls like to be reminded how much you like them, and how beautiful you think they are. It makes them feel good and it gives them a sense of security.

You are talking about two very different things here. The first part is when a girl runs off when a guy shows interest. Well, maybe the girl is shy? Maybe she's playing hard to get or maybe she just doesn't like you?
As for the second part, that is when you are already in a realtionship and yes, of course we get upset when the man we love won't express how he feels!! Communication is the key to any successful relationship and you can't have open ended communication if one of you won't discuss what they really feel.

hmmm, if a woman runs away when shown real interest
1. cause maybe they didn't really mean for things to go that far...only wanted to be friends or
2. there is something about her that she doesn't want to reveal to you, her true self perhaps or
3. just don't know a good thing when it's right in front of her
hmmm, pissed that you hide your feelings
1. that is mysterious of course of a male
2. she feels she's in the dark and doesn't know where she stands with you
3. females are naturing by nature, so she feels there is some way to help you with whatever it is that you are going through
hope that helps!

As a man i understand where you're coming from but...They run because they feel they're being persued. We humans have a tendancy to run from that which persues us. If you are doing favours for a woman, buying her gifts, giving her compliments or being overly nice you're just going to come across as a needy wuss who has nothing better to offer. And it shows the guy has little or no self respect or no real respect for the woman since he thinks he can buy her with that stuff. Theres no challenge, chase, mystery, adventure, fun, unpredictability and no feeling of protection by behaving like a submissive BOY. And deffinatly no feeling of attraction.

females need more time to decide if a male is someone they want to see or enter in a relationship with. You are better waiting and timing yourself toward the female. When a man comes on to strong toward a female...this is a turn off...because you feel smothered and wonder what does he want? Body or me? The art to meeting and engaging a female is your timing and believing she is wondering the same thing about you. Take your time...but, not 60 yrs.! Ciao

Actually some women may ask the same question about you men. one who "runs away" as you call it...may have a deeper problem that they are not saying....it could be that they are scared, not interested, or just going through something hard and need time.

good question. but there is a balance. a guy should be affectionate ( like when you hold hands, kind of stroke her hand with your thumb, and this is kinda random, but look her straight in the eyes when you talk to her,...etc.) what do you mean by 'hiding his feelings'? as in not being affectionate? well, some of us see it like you're not interested any more.
I guess what im saying is just be affectionate but not all over us.
good luck!

THIS MAY BE THE FIRST TIME. Keep trying, and give a few shots, she may change. Initial fear, concern or ignorance are some factors. But you should really feel good and then go ahead.
