My mother is wondering whether or not she's related to my brother's step-grandson.?

My brother married a woman who has a grandson and my mother would like to know if this makes her related to the grandson. I don't think so, but I could be wrong.

by marriage....however not by blood.

Biologically she is not related, but she is the child's step-great grandmother through your brother's marriage.
