No! Any Microsoft Operating System can be upgraded EXCEPT Windows ME. You can purchase another harddrive and install a fresh copy of Win2000 or overwrite Win ME.

it's got to be better than ME, though why aren't you upgrading to XP?

that said, you could do the sensible thing and get linux

edit: don't even think about vista, if your machine came with ME there's no way it can handle vista

Sure can, its also a good idea to check if you can get more RAM on your system, its probably a PC100 or PC133 that you need, try to get 512 if possible, if not 256 will do it.

Absolutely! Win 2k is the best I might ad! XP was designed around it! Too bad they screwed it up! 2k is the most stable of any op sys I have run! I have it on all my pcs except one. Good choice!
