My girlfriend and I are very much in love. There's no doubt in either of our hearts we will be getting married when the time allows us to. However, I am an avid outdoorsman. She hates the outdoors. Every now and then, I like to go out camping for a weekend. Long weekends specifically. How can I get her to come with me? Should I even try? I respect her so much and don't want to change her or force her to do something she doesn't want to do.

heyy, sry to 'intrude' on your question, but i reallly think you misinterpreted what i was saying on my question about homosexuality. I wasn't saying that they weren't actual people, i was saying that for a long time people (christians) had thought that they were kind of inhumane, and the gov. didn't give them much recognition or political power.

p.s., i'm not christian, as you assumed i was. :) lol.

andd...about your gf, maybe you should ask her to try the camping thing once, and if she feels uncomfortable, give her time to get used to it--i love the outdoors as well, she might learn to love it.

make it worth her while. Plan some special things outside of hiking and starting fires. Make her feel at home, wine and dine her if possible. Another suggestion is to take her to a not so rought camping experience. Start her off maybe somewhere local or maybe even a cabin. let her get use to the idea of being amungst the trees, moon and animals

Start with walks in the park or to the beach and talk about how much you love the outdoors and nature, etc. Then take her for an overnight somewhere that has a rustic cabin (not camping). As she gradually gets used to it, she may someday be willing to sleep in a tent. If not, you'll be reduced to camping with your buddies once a year.

Just ask her if she would like to go and tell her how much it would mean to you. Try to compromise. Go to a state park but stay in a hotel... that way you can have the outdoors and she can have the comforts of home. Im sure a compromise can be reached.

Well, ask her if she wants to go camping on a beautiful sunny day at a CAMPGROUND. Make sure there are showers and facilities close-by. If she has any doubts tell her you and she can sit around a campfire and you will make it a very romantic moment.

go for an "not roughing it" campsite,,,,,, one where you will have electrical hookups,,,,, such as koa or many state parks,,,,,,,,and a bathroom with a hot shower,,,, take along a romantic picnic,,,, she most likely thinks of camping as just roughing it,,,, not of the beauty of the outdoors,,,,,, i personally as a female like to camp, have even done it when my daughter was little,,, without any thing but a tent and bottled water,,,, but sometimes its nice to have the amenities,,,,,, also a mid way step would be a cabin,,,,,

I didn't used to appreciate the outdoors, but I was introduced to outdoor life very gradually and have learned to love it and enjoy camping. Just make sure you take her somewhere that she will have easy access to bathroom and shower facilities and introduce her like maybe one night at a time. She should come to appreciate it.

Get an air mattress or some sort of rv so you aren't roughing it so much. If you both give a little, she will hopefully learn that it isn't too bad. (Also take bug spray to keep the biters away)

when you consider which you're purely 14, ensure to no longer be sharing a tent with your female pal. i comprehend what it feels desire to learn that form of ingredient, yet have confidence me, its properly worth it to take the advice. additionally, I assure that sharing a tent will make your girlfriends experience awkward and forced.
