Because life is beautiful and amazing. Our parents gave us the gift of living, we should pass it on. Kid's may put some restrictions on their parents lives but the joys and rewards of having children make up for that. You will know if and when you fulfill your reason for existing and reproduce.

Besides once you do have children what you want changes a bit. After having my son I no longer want to party as much or spend money on frivoulous things. Your whole outlook changes so dramatically, you wont even be able to relate to the person you were before.

If you decide to have children you are also making the decision to change certain aspects of your life. If you like to party and do drugs then I think that this is something you might have to put on hold for about 18 years. If you are into sports and such then there is no reason not to stay involved in that sort of thing. As you get older and more responsible and you are considering starting a family then your perception of what is a restriction changes. For me, having kids is great most of the time. Sometimes I do wish for more freedom and maybe some vacation time. I balance my life by working (I work 4 on and 4 off) and I still get quality time with my kids. I think the key to having kids is balance.

i think that some people see having kids as the thing that will make their lives complete. they have the white picket fence, the dog in the yard, and the husband who goes on business trips (and of COURSE doesnt cheat while he is away) and so now they need children.
some people use kids as an excuse to cover up unhappiness, and most really do love their kids, and dont let them put restrictions on them, but do need to make sacrifices to make sure their chidren are happy and healthy.
everyone is different.

I am restricted in certain things I do because I have children. That's just the way it works. I can't just go out whenever I want to. Are my kids going to watch themselves? They are 3 & 4.

People who really feel restricted haven't really thought out the the reasons why they had kids( why buy a house if you are restricted by paying for it)...on the other hand people who do , i included do it to enhance, enrich, and altogether make their lives fuller.Which one are you?

Restrictions? don't be so disillusioned...
There is only for so long
that you can go to bars, try to pick people up, drink, go where ever you want...

and then what? You get old anyway, and you turn out to be a middle aged bar fly with no kids, no one who cares about you
and no one who will really remember your ***.

you'll die alone, probably young.......

Have fun.

Once we had kids, we just couldn't afford to do the stuff we used to. Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining. I love my kids with all of my heart and would gladly go back and give it all up again for them.
