My friend told me alcohol is not permitted so she couldnt use deoderant. I have noticed many people from the middle east smell like b.o. and Im not trying to offend anyone I was just wondering if it is a cultural or religious thing. Also should I tell a coworker that she should use deoderant because I believe she may not know of it? (Others are turned off by the onion smell as well)

I doubt it because I've passed by them in a goodwill store, and they smell awful! but i think that goes far beyong deodorant. those people seriously needed to bathe in bleach!

Of course,it is permitted.....We are ordered to be clean, and smell-good,we do WODOA’ nearly five times a day,and if someone did not get showered more than a week with his free will,he is not considered a good believer....

Do you think it's the faith or a cultural difference? Probably a cultural difference.
