If your dog's wound wasn't bleeding, then it must have formed a scab. I don't know if it was a deep cut or a minor one but judging by your description it is pretty serious. You should probably do research on the internet if the only information-the vet was closed. The internet might tell you what to do about the wound. You may also try to look up and find a book in the library. Also, ask a pet shop owner or call a pet shop on the phone. Those guys are specialists. They told me how to treat my cat's flea problem. My cats totally don't have flees now. You may also want to ask a pharmacist or someone specializing in medicine as they might have proper healing medicine for an animal. Also, at pet shops, the people running the adopt the pet might help you since they found all those pets on the street and took them in and cared for them. Some medication or special food might work such as at Petsmart, they had a special type of food specialized in giving vitamins to wounded pets. I'm not sure if it's for dogs, but it's worth a try. You also might just be able to keep her at home for the weekend. Since she isn't bleeding just buy some antibiotic creme and put it on the cut so no germs can get in. It may sting but she won't lose blood since you said it wasn't bleeding.

There is a really great website for a pet emergency. I used it once on a weekend when my vet was closed. My dog had swallowed a fairly large compressed rawhide bone and had yelped in pain when it went down. I immediately got on the inter-net and found justanswer.com. It is a website that has professional vets that answer you questions in their off time. There is a small fee but you don't have to pay until they have answered the question and you are satisfied with the service which I can say was exceptional. They can answer your question and help you until you can get to a vet. Do a search by typing in ''ask a vet''. This should get you to the link for
justanswer.com. Or type justanswer.com in your browser and it should take you directly there. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

hope the vet contacts you soon, if not try a different vets practice. when was it stitched? More than 4 days and the would will probably not re-open easily - but keep a good bandage on it for protection. Stitches usually come out in 7 days anyway

Older wounds with a covering of pus and scab are cleansed with 3% hydrogen peroxide solution or a surgical soap - failing that, just water. Blot dry. Apply antibiotic ointment and bandage as described below - or tea tree cream works just as good or alovera if you do not have ointment to hand.
Dressings over infected wounds should be changed frequently to aid in the drainage of pus, and to allow you to apply fresh ointment.
Wounds over twelve hours old are quite likely to be infected.
Bites are heavily contaminated wounds. Often they are puncture wounds. They are quite likely to get infected. They should not be sutured. Antibiotics are indicated.
I would keep it clean and dry and get back to the vet ASAP
In the meantime go to:

but some kind of ointmentm maybe so cortizone, or something like that just get some kind of cream, that helps, but you don't have to keep going to the vet, what I did when my dog got bit by another dog, and I left him there for 24 hours, and they took care of him, though he was still hurt, we put some ointment on, and he was better in like 2 days or so. Hope it helps! Hope she feels better!

If the wound isn't bleeding or open, and if your dog isn't in pain or bothered by the wound, then she should be fine. The stitches are made to dissolve/fall out after enough time has passed for the wound to close.

It looks to me like you need to take her back to the vet. I had a cat once that same thing happened to, well, she ended up bleeding to death during the night. That really hurt us. Be Safe. Not Sorry!

If it isn't bleeding keep the dog calm and call your regular vet tomorrow morning.

Just treat it like you would treat yourself.

Put triple anti-biotic on it (or another form).
Keep watch on her to make sure she doesnt lick it off.
It will not hurt her if she does lick. You just want to make sure it stays on the dog.

Overall, as long as the stich fell out and was not pulled out. Everything should be fine and healing properally.

I guess you have done what you can.Just don't let it get infected and wait for the vet to call or you could call that emergency # and demand service.
