Genetics determine how tall you will be.
In order for one to reach their genetic potential height, the body needs a certain amount of nourishment. This includes a balanced eating of vitamins that encourage growth proper exercising and adequate sleep.

Understand your body grows when it is at rest. Thats the optimal time when the body can restore the adequate balance of amino acids and minerals that encourage growth.
These are a few things you can to optimize your growth potential but ultimately genetics will determine how tall you are.

* Increase trace mineral intake
* Increase lean protein intake its broken down into amino acids faster
* No smoking or alcohol or narcotics because these stunt your growth
* Water intake should be your weight times .55 in ounces pure water preferably
* Increase the amount of vegetables you take in, possibly drinking vegetable juices such as carrot
* Decrease the amount of simple sugars such as sodas or candy
* Moderate your dairy intake
* Increase the fiber intake - whole grains, leafy green vegetables
* Sleep between the hours of 10 pm and 6 am - these are optimal hours for growth
* Exercise regularly and stretch often - cardio and resistance exercise and stretch all your body parts
* Increase anti-oxidant intake to fight off free radicals we take in everyday in the air and water
* Think positive thoughts - mind can control the body in ways that no one can understand.

High-intensity anaerobic exercise such as our grow taller stretching exercises, swimming, and cycling are shown by medical researchers to force the body into producing significant quantities of human growth hormone.

Exercise-induced growth hormone (EIG) is well recognized physiologically, and is caused from acid-base balance, catecholamines, nitric oxide, and lactate. Of these, the main causes of human growth hormone secretion appear to be nitric oxide and lactate. Both of which are produced by resistance training.

Your goal during stretching is to apply resistance-training stretches that will yield high amounts of human growth hormone secretion. Human growth hormone will thicken the cartilage, increase bone density, and make you grow taller. This is why we cannot emphasize enough the importance of the intensity you need to apply with each and every stretch to grow taller.

This means that you have to exercise for a minimum of 10 minutes with great intensity to increase your odds of growing taller. The intensity you build must be enough to lactate into your muscles for height increase. This lactate will activate growth hormone secretion even after exercise, during normal rest periods for longer than 24-hours! Your body literally becomes a growth hormone manufacturing machine to increase the possibility of any height increase!

No other method, supplement, or technique can possibly yield better height increase results than stretching exercises. All you need is to perform our stretching exercises correctly and you will grow taller.

They say that males don't stop growing until they turn 21. However, many males undergo a growth spurt during their early/mid teens, and they usually don't grow any taller after that. If you're already 17, chances are you might not grow any taller than your current height.

Unless you're a late bloomer. You might try playing certain sports like basketball to help you to grow.

There's now not much you are able to do unluckily :( wearing shoes that make you seem taller is one factor you can do but unless you're willing to have a painful surgical procedure to lengthen you legs, you can't do a lot else. It is feasible that you'll grow taller however for now, simply wait it out. Excellent good fortune! :)

Exercise, a healthy diet, and maybe a little more protein in your diet. All promote growth.

But if you've got small parents etc., and you smoke etc. You'll just have to live with it.

I think the age guys stop growing is about 21, but to be honest. It slows right down by then.
