can someone tell me why we think islam is bad even we never tried to read Quran. dont follow media?

I read about islam. Islam is very peaceful like christianity and we have many similarities and give rights to every body and restrict about rights. if you harm some one there is punishment. If in our modern society there are no rules then there are no rights. if we have rule that children cant smoke and drink alcohol but they can become gay or lesbian even we know its bad. if we know after drinking there are chances that someone can do mistakes and can harm some one or he can hurt himself. Then it should not be allowed and it is forbidden in bible but why these thing are taken away from bible to fullfill thier own financial needs.
Whenever we think about islam is hate but why as christians we dont think this is just a war of money not against muslims. Muslims did not do anything with 11 sep, everybody know now. We are in hands of media and very powerful group of people who have factories of weapons and alcohol. If we become real christians then who will buy those things for them.

Islam is actually a western religion, not eastern like many are lead to believe. It is very similar to Christianity. Even the Pope has said Islam is an eastern religion. Islam is not bad, it's just that Islam is found in the middle eastern area, and currently, America's not so happy about them. However, America's view on the Middle East and Central Asia itself is very biased... but that's for another question.

Although I am not Muslim, I could go one for some time about the pros of Islam and their people.

i was almost persuaded to become muslim but then i became dissillioned from all relgious dogmas.
The scriptures of religions are good to teach righteousness and faith. But people seem to multiply the grace and mercy of God into Damnation and Hatred. Following these types of leaders whether religious or Insane is never good, but many people in the world are surely deceived.
God will make right the paths of those that are faithful and pure in heart.

Its not the islam faith that people are unhappy with its the people behind the attacks muslims are suppose to be peaceful people and use their faith when they do something bad, that is what i belive to be why people are so hateful i to have read some of the Quran.

People from the Western World, of mostly Celtic origin and now with mostly democratic souls try to develop Christianity to make it into a religion of "this" world. Extreme religious people want to impose their God-given power on others and to make the future of mankind into something belonging to yonder world, paradise or hell.

Islam commands to surrender, to choke one's own naturality in order to please God, and to stone the devil to death, etc. As we are divided by religion we have learned that people belonging to another religion are infidels, enemies ... of God and therefore enemies of us. A religious creed is oftenmost an ethnic creed. An inbred tribal creed. A regional creed. A racistic creed. People of a religion must not freely fraternize with people of another. People of a religious creed shall multiply and conquer the World.
A Moslem woman is not allowed to marry a Christian man unless, where accepted, he converts to her religion. These are some of the reasons why you think that Islam is bad. Of course Christian factions still fight against each other for instance in Northern Ireland. Yet the tendency among Christians is becoming more civilized. Christian factions don't definitely exclude each other, and it seems that the Christian baptism is reciprocally recognized.

Islam is a religion of the sword therefore people of good will are naturally frightened when they hear about the use of the sword, about holy war, about a man's suicide for earthly reasons in order to gain access to yonder paradise and to the 117? luscious virgins of that place, about having to surrender to a God that no one ever has seen, that is called merciful but that in reality is merciless or His representatives are merciless.

Such broad generalizations are always dangerous, but I think what you are referring to is the fact that the perverted or radical interpretation of Islam that some of the terrorist,s are hiding behind is twisted and what we in the west see and remember most. Anyone who believes that all of Islam is like that is wrong.

yea i agree, i have read a lil bit of the Quran to see what's in it..yea it is peaceful...but it's a shame how some Muslims are so religious that they are willing to kill someone for it, i don't think it says that in the Quran

Before you criticize Christians about alcohol, you should first condemn Muslims who drink liquor like camels.
I know of at least ten Muslims who own liquor shops. I have also seen drunk Muslims...haven't you?
