Just by being there. I lost my brother last year and it's so unbelievably hard for my mom and I. By being present and staying as positive and happy as possible, you'll be a Huge help to your mom. You should try to get her outside to get some sun and fresh air, that always helps.

Hi, sorry to hear about your grandmother I know how it feels to have a parent who's really sad. My mom's brother died recently, and what worked for me, is to remind them of the good times they had with them, and say that they wouldn't want them to be so sad. Also, it's nice to get them something nice like flowers or chocolate. Hope your mom feels better soon!

It will be a comfort to your Mum just knowing you're there. She just needs a bit of time to cry at the moment. In time she'll start to feel better.

Just be there with her. That is the main thing she needs. Talk to her and listen to her when she talks. Also, give her time. Nothing will ever erase all her grief, but time will make it better.
