This is the only former boyfriend he's ever been around. I can tell he's just a little jealous (it's kind of cute) but I've done nothing to encourage these feelings. We just found out this guy is moving back to town and we'll be seeing lots of him. My boyfriend sees him more often than I do.
I'm not sorry for having dated this guy. We had lots of fun. I've already found the love of my life, but the stupid jokes need to stop?
I thought of a romantic intervention so he'll stop thinking these stpud things.........anyone care to share how they've handled these
situations??????

Well it doesn't sound like your current boyfriend is demonstrating any serious signs of jealousy, so he'll probably get over it after awhile.
He's probably feeling a little insecure, so just give him a little more attention when the ex is around, & he'll straighten up.

how you handle it is a unique factor to your relationship, don't rely
on other peoples experience for this. just realize that jealousy is a normal reaction when someone feels threatened by something or someone, and deal with it honestly and openly together. you both must be flat out honest with yourselves and each other to start with. after 5 years you should be at this level of openness already.

Just reassure your boyfriend that you really like HIM, not your ex. If he really likes you, he'll trust you enough to believe this. I've been in the same spot as you, you you have my condolences. Good Luck with it.

first of all u need to tell ur ex to cut down jokes coz u dont feel comfortable abt it ( never mention ur bf is jealous! )
then talk to ur boyfriend n tell him there is nuthin goin on, u have him, n convince him tht he is the one u luv n u dont care abt any others!

well if you and your boyfriend hang out one time WITH your ex dont really talk to your ex and make it clear to your boyfriend that you do not like your ex any more. and try not to mention your ex around your boyfriend expecially not randomly.. hell get stupid thoughts
