I think the Etiquette of the said circumstance is.

When one takes the Boddingtons and puts it on the counter one does a little cough to get the assistants attention. Then one looks the assistant in the eye and says 'how do you do my fine fellow (or woman) How much shall I put on account. This way you get your name put on the tab and never return to the establishment discussed. Remember to wear your best fox hunting outfit and carry the walking stick with the gold folderrol.

The store gets a better price on the sixpacks from the manufacturer, and they pass it along to the consumer. Take it times 1000 and it makes better sense; how many cans do they move in a week? The factory wants to sell the biggest lots they can. That's why they sell things "family size" and "economy size"--they're interested in selling as much product as possible.

The blasted way some shops screw people daily! They make more on the four pack, so they do not make well known the better price on the larger one.
Bastards. Should all be run out of business!

Well sometimes places tend to sell items cheaper even if it means at a lower price (compared to the original) but including more.

This is because the sell buy date may be close therefore they try to get rid of old stock first

Complaining about cheap booze?
Go figure.
It has probably got to do with the taxes.
Separately it will compound to more but sold in bulk it would be cheaper.
Works like that for donuts.

Look at the expiration dates. People sell alot of expired beer on Sundays here in the US (in some places it is illegal to sell beer on Sundays). It still drinks.
